About Steve

Steve is a board-certified music therapist with over 12 years of experience in the mental health field, bringing a deeply integrative and creative approach to healing. With a dual Bachelor’s degree in Music and Psychology from Binghamton University and a Master’s degree in Clinical Music Therapy from Arizona State University, he combines clinical expertise with artistic fluency to support meaningful personal growth.

Steve has received specialized training in clinical trauma through the Arizona Trauma Institute and is certified in the Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics™ (NMT). His work is further informed by training in Gestalt approaches and the development of body-based, somatic interventions that help individuals reconnect with their internal experiences in a safe and grounded way. Drawing from compassion-focused frameworks, he emphasizes self-awareness, emotional regulation, and authentic expression.

Originally from New York, he has worked and supervised across a wide range of clinical settings, including psychiatric care, nursing and rehabilitation facilities, and community-based behavioral health programs. He has supported over 200 individuals in addiction recovery and has extensive experience working with families, children and adolescents navigating trauma, developmental diagnoses, and complex emotional challenges.

As a multi-instrumentalist—proficient in guitar, saxophone, piano, and percussion—he integrates live music and creative expression into his therapeutic work. He also brings advanced knowledge of digital music platforms, including BandLab, Logic Pro X, and other DAWs, offering clients modern avenues for creativity, identity-building, and connection. His work is grounded in the belief that healing is both a relational and expressive process, and that music can serve as a powerful bridge toward resilience and transformation.
